Never saw this in Florida, Russian River on tap. I will be in trouble once I live downtown. This was spotted at the Race Street Cafe. They also had Russian River Pliny the Elder on tap, but it was gone before I was able to have a pint. Race Street was a staple bar back in my days of Old City living. They have an old wood burning stove in the front of the bar, and huge barn-like doors that they can open during the warm summer months. They have two small TVs that are there mainly to let you know the scores of local sports. Their food is delicious, and ranges from simple, elegant burgers to Southwestern Style Meatloaf and a Mussels dish that any gastropub fan would enjoy. The bar is nothing fancy, with a low-key atmosphere and a mix of regulars from the neighborhood and visitors, tonight for First Friday.
I like the wood burning stove, and think that would be a fun addition to a bar someday. Something cozy and well, it helps with the heating bill too, doesn't it? As I still think about opening a bar someday, the addition of the Wood Stove is something I'd consider for the cold winter months.
